your donations help jobseekers find meaningful employment

The Wilshire-Metro WorkSource Center provides free services to more than 5000 unemployed, underemployed and low-income individuals every year.

A key service we the community is a resource center that features more than 50 computers with high-speed internet access, a copier, fax machine, and telephones – all free for jobseekers.

While we are operational, our computers and software are very outdated and because of budget cuts to the workforce system, we are unable to upgrade our facilities and equipment.

Consequently, we are looking to the community to help us reach a goal of $100,000 to install new computers, upgrade our software, and renovate our WorkSource Center so that we may continue to provide excellent service to the thousands of jobseekers who use our facilities each year.

Any donation will help – all donations we receive online will go toward a total renovation of the resource center.

For more information on how your tax-free donation will benefit the community, please contact Monica Pecot at (213) 365-9829 or via email at mpecot@communitycareer.org.

Also, we are always looking for in-kind donations such as services (legal counsel, web design) or goods (interview clothing and accessories) to help us achieve our goal of assisting individuals gain empowerment through employment.
